Biography
I was raised in Texas and Connecticut and began my training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts as a BFA student. While at NYU I was cast in Lanford Wilson’s Lemon Sky at Second Stage alongside Jeff Daniels and Cynthia Nixon. Lanford introduced me to the legendary Circle Rep Company, where I became a member, most notably performing in Craig Lucas’ Reckless.
I’ve originated roles on and off-Broadway in works by playwrights such as as John Patrick Shanley, Keith Reddin, Sam Shepard, and Lisa Kron and had the great fortune to work with wonderful film directors such as Martin Scorsese, Peter Weir, and Nora Ephron. I also teach acting. I’m on faculty at Brooklyn College’s MFA acting program, in addition to bringing Screen Acting Workshops to actors here and abroad with my company The Moving Frame. I live in Brooklyn with my husband, actor Damian Young.
